Congratulations to the New Orleans Saints on a double digit Super Bowl win and becoming the the undisputed world champions!
I never dreamed I would be able to utter those words, and they produce a big ole lump in my throat. The win was sealed from the moment the Saints marched out on the field after the half time and dared to execute a successful onside kick. No other team has ever been that gutsy in Super Bowl history.
I just heard over WWL that the Vatican is now flying a Saints flag.
Take a bow, “Who Dat Nation,” you are the greatest fan base in the world. The celebration is just beginning and I wish I was there right in the middle of it all.
My sons are there, on the corner of Iberville and Dauphene, rockin’ with the crowd at Deannie’s Seafood place. I gave them permission to stay out all night. (Like I could stop them.)
Who Dat say they gon’ beat dem saints? Nobody, nobody.
I’m just glad I lived to see it.
Now, I’m packing my bags to move back to Louisiana to work on the Drew Brees for Governor campaign – it’ll be a slam dunk.
Emily, it is a wonderful day here in Louisiana!! Last night we could not use our cell phones because all of the towers were “busy.” Wonder why? I wish that Jindal had declared today a holiday.
I do admire Peyton Manning, his interview last night was a class act.
The Golden Triangle Airport was forced to close down last night. So many pigs were flying that it became too dangerous for planes to land or depart!
