Cleaning out the closet reminds me how far I’ve come – or is it how far I’ve GONE?

closet

The cooler temperatures this week prompted me to do some sprucing up in my closet. I’m dreaming of fall and weeding out my tank tops and white shoes.

You know, no proper Southern girl would ever wear white after Labor day.  As for the tank tops – I keep them around only to remind me that I once dared to wear them!

clean up

According to Everyday Health.com, one of the key signs of depression is when you suspend taking care of day-to-day chores, like cleaning your house.

better

I’ve been calling all over the country for weeks, desperately seeking someone who could refinish my old claw footed bathtub.

I have a confession.  I bathe in olive oil, but it leaves  a greasy mess in the tub.  Since a Clorox soak worked so well on my porcelain kitchen sink, I tried it on the tub.

My bad.  It turned the tub an garish  yellowish orange color  that forced me to wear sunglasses. I’ve taken to bathing in my guest bath room.
