Today was a ‘white out’ and a sell out at Mississippi State– I think I was the only person in the stands wearing hot pink.  If you squint, you will see me up on the top row reflecting pinkly. Shame on me.

First, let me be the first to admit I don’t know a holding call from a clip. I don’t know the inner workings of gridiron strategy, but I instinctively know when a team is clicking.

Mississippi State was clicking today like I’ve never seen it click before.

Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates:  You may visit this store ONLY ONCE! There are six floors and the value of the products increase as the shopper ascends the flights.

What’s happened to “my little town”

Living in Starkville, Mississippi, has been one of the great joys of my life.   Just big enough to have great sports, a wonderful community theatre and fabulous artists passing through.

We have great eateries and a huge sense of community. I thought it was the perfect place to live – until today. About 4:30 p.m. I ran out of olive oil and needed to go to the store.  My street was backed up to Canada.  I have not seen that since the MSU Bulldog’s basketball team made the Final Four.

snake 2 A friend of mine from West Point just called to tell me the most hair raising story I’ve ever heard.  My hair would have turned white if I hadn’t just gotten it colored for my class reunion.
