The choices on my cable system are either of the reality variety, inane game shows, or Judge Judy – none of which interest me in the least. What really gets my goat is that the only two shows worth a genuine laugh are “Andy Griffith” and “Everybody Loves Raymond.”
Wouldn’t you know it, the two classic sitcoms are pitted opposite each other in the same time slot, so I must switch back and forth. Of course I know the dialogs by heart so I can switch on cue to catch the funniest lines.
And please, Mr. Cable Man – buy some new episodes. I’ve been watching the same 13 reruns of Andy Griffith for nine years. Surely there are more tapes available for the long running show.
Since Barney Fife is gone and I don’t know what happened to Ray Romano, what’s a girl to do?
I know, I need to get a life, but I really liked the old one when the jokes were new and the stuations fresh.
