The centerpiece held up over night and I added some more orange sunflowers. (When in the world did I become obsessed with orange.) I tied orange, black and white ribbons from the chandelier and it looks pretty darn good. Dr. Brandon gave me his black doctor bag along with stethescope and blood pressure taker. I ordered a cake that looks like a giant Pill with the inscription "Prescription for a happy retirement." This will be such a bitter sweet day for us and his staff. They will all be leaving on August 31 to take other jobs. Of course, they had no difficulty finding other jobs. But they each told me they weren't sure they could work for any body else after Daddy.
