Today is Thursday, May 1, 2008. In ancient times, revelers danced around bonfires the night before, celebrating the arrival of May Day. But before the sun rose on that first day of May, the dancers would be sure to save early morning dew to rub on their faces to make them irresistible. Say What?
They believed that if you rubbed the dew into your skin it would give you a magical appearance.
I’m game. What the heck. It couldn’t hurt. I’m out the door. I’m scraping up every bit of dew left on the roses and smearing it on my face. The paper boy honked at me and gave me a thumbs up sign. Maybe it’s working!
