- What better way to celebrate the Thanksgiving harvest feast than by creating a centerpiece using a feast of gorgeous green vegetables.
- How to: To wrap a candle in green beans or asparagus, stretch two sturdy rubber bands around a white pillar candle, then insert vegetables under the bands. Cover the bands with a circle of satin ribbon. To make the articoke candle holder, cut the top off and a bit of the center out of the articoke. Set the candle in the hole.
Decorate the platter underneath with a few white mums and hypericum berry sprigs. What could be easier. I’ve also done this with cinnamon sticks.
Warning: Do not burn candles down to the rubber-band level or you will ruin your Thanksgiving!
If you have a striking piece like the champagne cooler above, polish it up and make it a focal point. I’m kind of partial to white pumpkins which aren’t always easy to find. No problem, you spray paint an orange one any color you please.
