International Disturbed People’s Day

I received these photos in one of those emails that gets sent around with words of encouragement and friendship etc.  What appealed to me most was the claim that today is Disturbed People’s Day with which I relate wholeheartedly.  (There is no official day so this is just an excuse for a bit of humor – and the world can always use more of that.)

Today you can be proud to be disturbed.  Lick windows, wear your clothes inside out, and decorate your car as if it were going to be in a parade.. You hang in there sunshine, you may be disturbed but if you make someone smile your day has been worthwhile.

Every sixty seconds you spend angry, upset or mad, is a full minute of happiness you’ll never get back..

And never regret anything that made you smile or laugh.

The gist of the email is that even if you are a disturbed individual (as in a little off), your friends will love you and be there for you. Be happy in your life and forgive others. Live each day to the fullest and remember to dance like no one’s watching.

And if you have nothing better to do today, turn a head of cauliflower into a herd of sheep.

  1. I am just as disturbed… But I have to continue going to meetings to keep up the appearance.
