A reader sent me a recipe that I’m going to try on a busy day.  (Surely I’ll have a busy day any day now.)

She calls it “dump stew” because all you have to do is dump the contents of three cans in a sauce pan, simmer it a few minutes and dinner is served.  Best of all, you can keep the ingredients in the cabinet to call into action on a moments notice.

Dump Stew

1 can of bean and bacon soup

1 can of tomato soup

1 can of chili without beans

Combine, simmer and serve.  I’ll probably add some cumin, chili powder healthy dose of Tabasco and sprinkle chopped scallions on top. 

What could be easier.  And since I love all three by themselves, the combination can’t lose.
