The Outstanding Public Debt for the U. S. as of 09 Sep 2008 was:
I don’t even know how to report that. Is it trillions, gazzillions, what!? I almost had a handle on a billion, but beyond that I’m clueless.
The estimated population of the United States is 304,697,777 so if I’m figuring correctly, each citizen’s share of this debt is almost $32,000. How does that make you feel? And when do I have to ante up?
I read that the national debt continues to increase an average of $1.93 billion per day since September 28, 2007! Concerned? I am. Who you gonna call?
“Blessed are the young, for they shall inherit the national debt. …”
Well, I’m doing my part to cut costs. I just canceled my land based phone. It’s been a constant irritation for years. I get no less than 12 marketing calls each day and I have a cell phone and my trusty computer. Just how many forms of communication does a girl need.
Plus, every time it rains the phone up and decides to call 911. I’m tired of letting the police officers in at 2 a.m. They’re tired of it too. So if you try to call the number listed in the phone book, you won’t reach me.
I hesitate to print my cell number in case the Woodmen of the World are reading my website. They call every day at noon. If you need to reach me send me an e-mail and I’ll send my number. (email@example.com)
