How to control unruly animals

Don’t laugh. We have bears in Mississippi. In fact, I heard one was spotted in Meridian recently.

Do you have problems with dogs or wild animals getting into your trash when you set it out for trash pick-up day? I do. Well, I’ve learned that mixing 7 parts waterand 1 part Pine-Sol in a spray bottle and spraying your trash can inside and out keeps the varmits away.

I decided to take the tip one step further and spray it on some of my furniture to keep my aunt’s visiting puppy from “marking his territory.” Unfortunately it dries to look just like the “excretion” I was trying to prevent in the first place. But when you walk in my house it smells like I’ve been cleaning all day. Oh well…

Rebel had a sleep-over last night. Tubby, his brother, and my aunt’s “child” are pictured above trying to get a nap in their favorite chair. It didn’t work out too well. Tubby is used to having his own doggy door to visit the restroom. Since I have a lot of plants in my house, I guess he thinks he’s always outside and can use the facilities at will.

Lucky Dawg won out in the end. She just returned from the beauty shop and she wasn’ t takin’ nothin’ off no bulldogs. She growled and they headed for the hills.
