My friend, Gary, from New Orleans has solved the problem I discussed earlier about the number of hot dogs and buns not matching up in today’s commercial packaging. I accused the hot dog manufacturers and bun makers of colluding to get us to buy more than we need of one or the other.

Leave it to New Orleans folks to find a new twist on the dog. He titled this “red neck seafood.” I guess I’m a redneck because I think it looks positively elegant and plan to serve it at my next dinner party. I’ll use capers for the eyes - no make that caviar! I can forget the buns altogether.

So there, Mr. Wonder Bread Man, see what you’ve done.
