Dare we hope spring has arrived? Someone told me yesterday to expect a hard freeze on March 26. Never mind – today I’m planting.
The signs of spring are everywhere, and not a moment too soon for most folks. From the moment the first jonquils burst into bloom, gardeners everywhere begin sharpening their spades and paying visits to the nearest garden centers.
Our new billboard promoting the Everything Garden Expo is scheduled to go up today on Highway 12.
In the meantime, let me tell you what you can expect. More than 50 vendors showing and selling everything you need to become a master gardener. The educational seminars are just what the doctor ordered to deliver you from the dark days of winter. Yawl come!
The 3rd annual Everything Garden Expo just keeps getting better and better.
We have expanded the showroom to accommodate more vendors this year and only have four booth spaces still available.
What can you expect from this year’s Expo on March 5-6 at the Mississippi Horse Park in Starkville? Check it out…….
Day One of the “Everything Garden Expo” was everything I’d hoped it would be. Can’t wait for tomorrow.
I am ready to attack my pitiful garden with renewed gusto since I learned from people like Felder Rushing, (pictured above with my mentor Shirley Dawkins) that all the garden rules are made to be broken and sometimes “weeds can be beautiful intruders.”
Vendors moved into the Mississippi Horse Park today transforming it into a tropical paradise and marketplace for gardeners.
The Everything Garden Expo will be open to the public from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday, and again 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday. Cost of entry is $5 and children six and under will be admitted free.
