I often fail to move forward with some project (i. e. getting healthy, losing a few pounds, writing a book, taking a course) because I’ve failed in the past.

Today, I read the following excerpt by Michael  Neill, a life coach, who bills himself as the “genius catalyst.”  I subscribe to his newsletter and its content frequently moves me out of my inertia and into a better place, mentally.

Just for today: Try a “complaint fast”


I subscribe to a weekly newsletter from the best selling author Micheal Neill. Every once in a while, he nails me.

Today was that day. I am tempted to complain and judge people and situations ad nauseum, which only makes me and everyone around me feel worse. At Michael’s suggestion I decided to declare today a “fast from complaining day.” Continue reading
