The latest in footwear
I’m never quite sure if my son William is on the cutting edge of fashion or the fringes, but he put on these shoes to begin our day of restaurant cruising in Nashville. These little numbers are called “Five Fingers” and they are manufactured by Vibram. They will set you back about $80. As you can see they are ugly as sin, but he swears they are liberating since it’s like “barefooting” in public.
My other son “B” bought a pair before we headed home. But he’s into kayaking, and I think that’s what they were designed for. You can also buy socks, but what’s the point? It would take too much time to get them on. Give me a flip flop anyday.
I really don’t get the whole idea, but c’est la vie.
