Today was delightful. I had nothing majorly going on. The MSU Bulldawgs are in town but I opted out because I stayed up all night watching old movies and decided getting dressed was just too hard. You can do that when you are retired.
On a whim, I moved a chair out of my bedroom and discovered dust bunnies the size of a McDonald’s Whopper. One thing led to another and before I knew what was happening I was on a roll and rearranged my whole house!
Yea, no more Christmas decorations…..
I switched rugs between my dining room and my guest room which forced me to put away the Christmas decorations. What a relief that was! FINALLY, I can cross it off my to-do list after two long months of feeling guilty.
I dusted for the first time this year and polished all my mirrors and yes, girls, coffee filters are the best tool for that chore. No streaks at all.
Lucky Dawg and Rebel watched me with their leashes hanging out of their mouths, but they would have to walk themselves today. I was a cleaning fool and nothing could stop me. I even changed the batteries in my smoke alarms.
Now I’m thinking I’ll go take a bubble bath. Life just doesn”t get any better than this – a clean orderly house and a Lindt Chocolate bar and a good murder mystery are waiting for me. If I was a cat, I’d be purring.
