Sections of North Mississippi awoke to a winter wonderful this a.m. The snow was a welcome relief from monsoon-like rains which have fallen over the past two weeks.
I’ve been considering installing a small putting green in my house in order for Lucky Dowg and Rebel to have a place to relieve themselves. Both despise the rain and there’s no way to coax them outside during a rain storm.
By noon the snow moved on and there’s rumor the sun may show its unfamiliar face before the day is over. Call me weird but I kind of like being holed up in my house beside the fire with a good book or a great old movie on Turner Classics. No way to go out for a run, no guilt. I savor the cold drizzly days, because the dry heat will be back all too soon.
