Torquays back by popular demand


A little fifties, a lot of sixties and a few more recent tunes were on the playbill Saturday when the Torquays came together one last time for a Halloween reunion concert.

The 1960s dance band, The Torquays, set up at Waverly Waters lodge and entertained old friends from around the Golden Triangle.  Thanks to Doug Becham for providing the photos.


robbie Above, the “kids” of West Point High may have become grandparents, but they still love an excuse to party.

At left Robbie and Susan Robinson are still together after all these years.


Among revelers were the witches of West Point.  From left Judy, Linda, Marie, Norma, Frida and Rebecca got in the spirit of the evening.  Hopefully more photos are on the way.  Stay tuned.

  1. What a fun Halloween you had! Thanks for the pictures. This was a party not to miss. I know the Torquays were in rare (or normal) form and that, in itself is a show! Thanks guys, for the memories…….surely there will be another “last show”!
