You know those leftovers in the back of your fridge? The ones you can’t recognize anymore? Today’s their day! To go, that is.
Today is National Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day! Let’s all get on board. Remember, all your relatives will be coming for Thanksgiving and some of them – especially the nosy ones – will be peeking into your fridge to see what kind of housekeeper you are.
Besides you’re going to need the extra space as your begin to prepare your Thanksgiving menu – which will produce its own set of leftovers.
It’s believed Whirlpool created the holiday as a way to get the fridge ready to store Thanksgiving leftovers so bacteria wouldn’t spoil them. Good idea for people like me who uses her fridge as a compost machine most of the time.
So get out your rubber gloves, your favorite cleaner, hold your breath, scrunch your nose if you must, and get to it.Tip: Any thing you can’t recognize goes into the trash. Maybe you’ll find a half bottle of wine in the back somewhere and you can really celebrate.
Really!! Only once a year? Are you sure “shelf life” is that long for most foods?
It is a “good thing”, and a good time to do it. Our garbage pickup is Monday, I can do this.
First the fridge, then the leaves, them the carpets……….ever notice how one thing leads to another?
Lawd have mercy…….it’s too scary.
I would like to thank you for the efforts you’ve put in writing this

In truth, your creative writing abilities has encouraged me to get my very own site now 😉
