I received this message today from my friend Linda. It said “I don’t care if you lick windows, snort when you laugh, or burn your asparagus sandwiches.”
“You hang in there sunshine, you’re freaking’ special.” She went on to remind me that “Every sixty seconds you spend angry, upset or mad, is a full minute of happiness you’ll never get back.”
“Today’s Message of the Day is: Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not be the party we hoped
for, but while we’re here we should dance.”
I turned off the television and put on Twist and Shout, and rocked out! I mean really rocked out. I danced like no one was looking – tee hee, because no one was…except of course, Rebel and Lucky Dawg. But they already knew I had lost my mind.
That picture of you dancing (in short skirt) had to have been at least 10 years ago!? Or maybe a few months ago? If only Rebel and Lucky Dog
could tell us about it. You ladies do know how to have fun! Your friend,
David Evers
Actually, David. I cannot tell a lie – that was made 40 years ago when I was 12. I matured early, and it’s been down hill ever since. But I can still do the watusi if no one is looking.
