Today is Wednesday, May 7, 2008. This is the 128th day of the year with 238 remaining in which to do those things we need to do this year. There’s still time.
For me that means clearing my environment of all those “things” that no longer have meaning or function. On my way to Nashville this week, I was struck by how many “junk” sales were going on in the front yards of homes located along Highway 45. Are all those purchases we make for things we can’t live without destined to become junk? Anybody need a complete set of Compton Encyclopedias that were published before the introduction of the airplane? Heaven knows, I don’t.
Thought for the Day: “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lives within us.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
