The Deluded Diva

How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?

birthday

Someone posed that question yesterday and I found it very provocative.

My first response was “I still feel like a teenager.”  But then I got honest and remembered that some days I feel 35, others I feel 135 – dead, in other words.

Honestly I think I’m somewhere around 40 – still young enough to be a little wild and crazy and old enough to know better than to try it.

But, seriously, how old would you be if you didn’t have a calendar to remind you?

The Egyptian calendar debuted in 4,236 BC… commonly referred to as the ‘earliest known date’. Previously it was the spring and fall equinox and the summer and winter solstice that served man as a calendar… also phases of the moon. So counting years wasn’t likely very  important to our caveman ancestors.

It’s important never to stop dreaming of bigger things for ourselves. Whether you’re a 6 year old child or a senior citizen, we have the right and responsibility to continue thinking about our possibilities on a regular basis.

Whether we’re talking about fitness, family, work, or anything else that might matter, what if we went about it like we had no limitations? I guarantee you that you would get out of bed with a “bring it on” attitude for anything that came your way.
