Is Tiger being tamed in Mississippi?

Word on the street is that Tiger Wood has entered a residential treatment program in Hattiesburg seeking treatment for sex addiction.

Woods reportedly has checked into Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services, according to an exclusive story on the Web site. Area television stations have confirmed the reports

This is just the latest reported sighting of Woods, who, since his high-profile (to say the least) Thanksgiving car accident has been reported to be everywhere from Florida to Arizona to New York to California to somewhere on a boat.

The celebrity gossip site TMZ, which has gotten some credibility for its reporting on the Woods affair, on Jan. 4 reported that people who spoke with Woods the day after his accident say his plan was to get out of the country and ensconce himself in Africa.

TMZ is not yet reporting that Woods is in Mississippi. As for Pine Grove itself, officials there said they could not confirm or deny if Woods is there because of privacy laws, the Hattiesburg American reported..

The Pine Grove program is directed by Dr. Patrick Carnes, who has pioneered treatment for sexually compulsive behavior.

According to Pine Grove’s Web site, “Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services in Hattiesburg, Mississippi is known as one of the nation’s most comprehensive treatment campuses. Since 1984 Pine Grove has offered a continuum of services ranging from outpatient to inpatient and residential treatment for adults, children and adolescents suffering from psychiatric and addictive diseases.

Update:  The Mainstream media is now reporting that the Tiger IS in Mississippi. Do they realize how hot we are down here? He should go somewhere colder.

Update:  Linda Barton Aultman of Hattiesburg wrote this a.m. ”

Yes…..he is suppose to be here…..but you should know that HIPPA forbids anyone at that clinic telling so I don’t know how the news got out I can’t even say for sure BUT I do know that it is true that Pine Grove does have a world renown sex rehabilitation center….and they have even announced it on FOX NEWS but I haven’t seen him there…..but of course, everyone around here is saying it is gospel.  I will tell you that Forrest General Hospital is the owner of Pine Grove Recovery Center ……

  1. Emily: We know a nice young person who finally went to this place for a problem and came back almost ready to go back to work. This place in Hattiesburg must be a mind healing place. Ms. has great healing services and being southern we know about how to be human. Our medical care is great.

  2. Hmmm…didn’t realize that Patrick was in MS. I’ve read a couple of his books in grad school.
