If you want to impress your guests or the folks at the office – dump two ingredients into a bowl and within three minutes you will have the most delicious candy.
Folks will think you spent hours preparing the delightful candies.
No joke. My Aunt Emma made up a plate of these recently and shared the recipe with Marie and me.
“I can’t wait to make this for my co-workers,” said Marie who is as bad as I am, always looking for the “WOW” factor by way of short cuts. Sorry Marie, the cat is out of the bag.
Here’s the simple two step candy chacha.
1/2 package Almond Bark (chocolate flavored) – this is a type of baking chocolate you will find near the sugar – not from a tree or anything.
1 16-ounce jar dry roasted peanuts or 1-1/2 cups roasted pecans
Cut the bark in half and save one half for another time. Break up a bit and put in a bowl and pop in microwave for 1-1/2 minutes. Stir and put back in microwave for 20 seconds. Stir again and put in microwave for 10 seconds. Dump in nuts and drop from a spoon on waxed paper. It will set up quickly and disappear instantly when your guests arrive.
