Oooh, fascinating………………………………………….
I fear this may be an unpopular post since I strive never to cast judgments on any group of people. I apologize in advance, I really do. But I do not understand the attraction of reality television or the people who watch it.
oooh, cute……………………………………………..
That goes for “Here Comes Honey Boo”, “Housewives of Anywhere”, “The Kardashions”, and (gulp) “Duck Dynasty”. I know, I know. Some of my best friends love Duck Dynasty and I tried to warm up to it. No luck. To say I’m appalled is mild. A bunch of hairy people making fun of people with tattoos and piercings. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black…
I forced myself to watch a few of the more popular reality shows this week, looking for some redeeming qualities. Made my eyes bleed.
I endured an entire episode of Honey Boo Boo in which the little “star” and her siblings spent an hour sliding on the kitchen floor in butter, or was it lard? Who cares? It wasn’t funny, and all I could think about was how that kitchen floor was ruined forever.
Look.” Leave it to Beaver” seemed like a reality show (no family was that perfect) and about as boring. But it left us with some ideals to strive for. This current stuff must have shock value, and nothing much else. Please tell me if I’m missing something.
After complaining to my cable company, I got nowhere and I’m planning to cancel the service. I live in an old neighborhood and can’t get Direct or Dish so I’m signing up for Netflix and will be watching reruns and movies for the rest of my life. No ball games. No news. NO REALITY. Maybe I’ll be better off.
