The dubious art of procrastination

Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task.

I should know because I’ve been putting off several pesky tasks for going on two weeks now.  One was a New Year’s resolution and the other is a business issue which if left undone could cost me dearly.

procrastnation No unwelcome task becomes any more welcome by putting it off until tomorrow, or next Friday.

It is only when it is behind us and done that we begin to find that there is a sweetness to be tasted afterwards.

Once accomplished, it is full of blessing and there is a smile on its face as it leaves us.  Undone they stand threatening and disturbing to our tranquility.

If there is hanging before you any bit of work from which you shrink, go straight up to it and do it at once.  At least get started and who knows, you might get so caught up in the task you decide to carry it on to completion.
